The unstoppable rise of Maturana Tinta.

Little by little, it is gaining recognition and becoming trendy. It is a grape variety, genuinely from Rioja, that was marginal until recently, called Maturana. With low yields, a few daring winemakers have ventured into producing wines exclusively with this grape, and the results have been excellent. One example is a young winery located in Anguciana, a small village with around 400 inhabitants, situated 5 kilometers from Haro, in the heart of Rioja Alta, and owned by the Diez del Corral family.
